Nines Announces ‘Crop Circle 2’ Release Date With “Tony Soprano 2”

After a bit of a quiet spell, which the vast majority of us assumed was the retirement he spoke about a few years ago, Nines is back with a new video and confirmation that the rumours are indeed true: Crop Circle 2 is happening and it’s happening very, very soon.

Back in December, Nines posted a picture on Instagram with a caption that just said “Album done”, but then not much was heard since. Last week, however, in between meeting up with Alchemist and Larry June while they were over in London, he returned to social media to get the ball rolling with the rollout for Crop Circle 2.

The first single, “Tony Soprano 2”, has now arrived, just in time to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the first Crop Circle, and it comes with a video from trusted director and long-time collaborator Charlie Di Placido. Taking us from the grow house to the boujee hipster spots and back again, it’s all in a day’s work and there’s even a cameo from his right-hand man, Crop Cat.

On top of the release date, artwork and first single, the Church Road rhymer also lifted the lid on the tracklist and the collabs we can expect. Joining him on the album will be Skrapz, Wretch 32, J Styles, M Huncho, Potter Payper, Nafe Smalls, Clavish, Tiggs Da Author, Kojey Radical, J Styles, Streetz, Fatz, Little Torment, as well as an appearance from Zino Records signee Lylo Gold.

With a release date of April 28, Nines is wasting absolutely no time getting this one out there. While we wait, hit play on the new video up top and then add “Tony Soprano 2” to your playlists.
