Amazon Prime’s newest series delivers a punch as brawny as its titular character. Based on Lee Child’s first Jack Reacher novel, Reacher tries to rectify what many fans believe the Tom Cruise Jack Reacher movies ruined.

It follows military sleuth, and modern day ronin Jack Reacher’s violent adventures in a small Georgian town where he unintentionally gets embroiled in some shady and ultra violent business. Obviously, a brainy mammoth like Reacher comes out on top but it’s the how that provides the chills and kills.
Let’s take a look at the reactions that fans are sharing on social media.

To start, R.L. Stine gave the series high praise. (Not bad, coming from the man who gave us Fear Street and many more horror stories.)
REACHER, on Amazon Prime, is the TV show Lee Child deserves. Totally faithful to the spirit of Lee’s books— violent, witty, and entertaining from beginning to end.

In fact, it’s quite difficult to not binge watch.
I haven’t binged a series like that in quite some time but #Reacher is fucking great. 8 episodes of action thriller bliss. Great performances, excellent action set pieces and some clever twists. Also Alan Ritchson was born to play Reacher and he absolutely nails it.

Some viewers hadn’t expected the viewing experience to be so intense.
I get that jack reacher fans hated cruise in the role but at least it made sense that people would try to fight him unlike alan ritchson who scares me through my tv screen

I have finished watching all the episodes of Reacher and complaining about this miniseries is like complaining about a good pizza because it’s not a filet mignon. It’s good pizza.
