Will Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright return to Vanderpump Rules?

In 2023, Brittany Cartwright said she and her husband Jax Taylor are “getting the itch” to return to Vanderpump Rules.

The couple recorded commentary for the Peacock recap of Vanderpump Rules season 10, after their exit from the show.

She told Us Weekly, “We’re definitely getting the itch ‘cause it was fun to have the cameras over and have crew over.

“Going through that whole lifestyle again was so fun. I got a little teary backstage ‘cause this was such a big part of my life for six years basically — and for Jax, like, nine.

“So, it just felt really good to do those things again.”

On January 17, 2024, Bravo finally revealed the news fans have been waiting for – Jax and Brittany will be returning to reality TV, on a Vanderpump Rules spin-off show titled The Valley.

The new show will follow Jax and Brittany as well as fellow VPR alum Kristen Doute, and her boyfriend, Luke Broderick.

The Valley will also feature newcomers Danny and Nia Booko, Jesse and Michelle Lally, Jason and Janet Caperna, and friends Jasmine Goode and Zach Wickham “as they navigate businesses, families, and adulthood in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.”

Why did they leave Vanderpump Rules?

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright left Vanderpump Rules in December 2020 after Brittany became pregnant with their son Cruz, now 2.

Taking to Instagram, Jax wrote, “The last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life.

“Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules.

“We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors.

“Our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts.

“Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you.”

How long have they been together?

Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor started dating in 2015, before tying the knot in 2019.

Jax previously dated Vanderpump Rules co-star Stassi Schroeder, and admitted to cheating on Brittany with another cast member, Faith Stowers – whom he accused of committing a range of crimes in a 2017 tweet.

However, on February 29, 2024, ahead of The Valley’s premiere, Brittany announced she and Jax had separated.

The news was revealed on their joint podcast When Reality Hits.

She said, “Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”

It’s not yet known if the end of their relationship will play out when The Valley debuts on March 19, 2024.

“I’m taking one day at a time,” she finished.

“I don’t know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.”
