Scott, 40, is reportedly using the weight loss drug Ozempic, and his family has plans to confront him about his health.
According to an insider, the Hulu star turned to the drug after his ex, Kourtney Kardashian, 44, married Travis Barker, 48.
Scott and Kourtney share three children – Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9 – while Kourtney and Travis welcomed a baby, Rocky Thirteen, on November 1.
“Kourtney’s marriage to Travis took a toll on Scott and as he got bigger he was comparing himself to Travis, and Travis being thin didn’t help,” a source close to Scott told the Mail Online.

“Scott turned to food as his crutch because he could not turn to drugs.
“He loves his kids too much to try to ruin his relationship with them,” the celebrity insider added, suggesting Scott’s weight loss became his drug-like obsession.
The source continued, “Kourtney is of course concerned because he is the father of her children.
“After the photos emerged, people close to Scott realized how dire the situation is, but they’re struggling with an intervention as so many around him take the drug too.

According to the insider, Scott’s health struggles may also be seen on his Kardashian family’s reality television show.
“Scott knows that. He signed a contract so there isn’t much he can do about them using his troubling appearance for TV,” they noted.
Fan theories
Long before worries for Scott first emerged, fans of the Kardashians already speculated that Kourtney’s new life would be tough for her ex.
Back in June, Kourtney announced that she was pregnant with Travis’ baby, and fans quickly feared that Scott might struggle with the news.
Soon after the announcement, one fan prompted on Reddit, “Shall we discuss the Scott situation? Will he go completely off the rails now?”
“Oh without question,” another answered.
Drifting away?
The insider claimed that Scott’s family was both causing his problems and keeping him from falling apart.
However, fans have spotted clues that the star’s children have been getting closer to Travis.
In photos Kourtney shared of her trip to Australia to support Travis’ band, fans were shocked to see Reign emulating his stepdad’s style, in edgy, rockstar clothing.
“I wonder if Scott gets sad when he sees Reign replicating Travis’ dress sense like he wants to be a mini Travis rather than a mini Lord?” one fan asked.
“The fact that he still loves and misses Kourtney I’m sure it stings a little. It’s human nature,” said a second.
Sending love
While Scott’s family is reportedly considering getting involved, his fans have been checking in on him for weeks.
Last month, fans worried about Scott’s tired appearance after she filmed himself speaking to a psychic medium at home.
“He doesn’t look well… his eyes are sunk in and well you can just tell something’s not right… hope he has support with whatever he may be going through,” one fan wrote on Instagram.
“You look so gaunt. Sending you love and positive vibes. Your best days are yet to come Scott,” a second social media user wrote.
