MLB icon David Ortiz and his girlfriend Maria Yeribel have revealed that they are expecting their first child together.
“Big Papi” Ortiz, 48, was featured in an Instagram reel on 38-year-old Yeribel’s account kissing her pregnant belly.

In the caption, Yeribel thanked God for the moment and wished her fans a happy New Year.
The Dominican-born Instagram model started out creating makeup tutorials on YouTube before rising to social media fame.
Her account focused on beauty, with her last post being a Christmas hair and makeup video posted in 2019.
Much of her content in those days focused on dramatic makeup looks, as she taught her tips and tricks in Spanish.
Clearly, her love for flashy style hasn’t dimmed, and she’s continued to post photos and videos of herself on Instagram sporting high-end designers like Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci.
Her love for luxury doesn’t seem to end there, as she’s stepped out in an extensive designer shoe collection including footwear by French designer Christian Louboutin and Italian fashion house Valentino.
She doesn’t shy away from experimenting with fashion and showing some skin, modeling lacy bra tops, completely see-through dresses, and barely-there bikinis on vacation.
Yeribel also travels in style, lounging on yachts and flying the skies by private jet.
Though little is known publicly about her previous relationships, she and Ortiz have been linked since 2019, working through a divorce with Ortiz’s previous wife, Tiffany Ortiz, which was finalized in 2023.
They are frequently seen taking photos and videos in lavish locations, traveling to both London and Santorini, Greece in 2023.
In July, the pair visited Cooperstown, New York — home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, to which Ortiz was elected in 2022.
The lovebirds appear inseparable, with Yeribel often posting Ortiz on her Instagram page.

One post documented Ortiz’s 34th birthday, which he celebrated in November 2022 with a lavish party.
Yeribel wore a silver sequin dress and Ortiz donned a silver button-down shirt with black leather pants to fit a celestial theme.
“Every detail was analyzed with much love, dedication, and inspired by the birthday boy,” Yeribel gushed in Spanish in an Instagram post at the time.
“It was not difficult to choose a theme for your birthday party because you are the moon, you are the sun, and the star that illuminates my heart!
“You know you are a star that shines with a lot of intensity,” she continued.
“You deserve to be happy, you deserve the best of the universe and part of the best is me,” she concluded. “I love you.”

Yeribel doesn’t hold back when it comes to showing her love for her man to the world, even using pet names for him including “my chocolate fondant.”
At a gender reveal party in early January, the parents-to-be announced that their baby is a boy.
At the celebration, it was Ortiz’s job to swing at a ball, which would explode in color and reveal the baby’s gender.
The baseball legend missed — but he took the potentially mortifying moment in stride, expressing joy and kissing Yeribel’s belly.
Ortiz has two children from his previous marriage as well as a third from a different relationship, making the baby his fourth bundle of joy.

Yeribel could be seen dancing around in a white dress at the party, which doubled as a New Year’s Eve celebration.
As blue confetti filled the room, partygoers jumped with joy at the news.
In a tender Instagram Reel posted to Yeribel’s account, she recounted the intense emotions she felt with Ortiz, thanking God for the pregnancy.
“My God, I am more than convinced of Your existence because You sent us so many mysterious, but clear messages at once before blessing my womb that You made us feel extremely special,” she wrote in the caption in Spanish.
The video is not their only instance of publicly displaying affection.

In another clip she posted in Santorini, the couple lounged on a boat while Ortiz caressed her leg and even slapped her backside.
The MLB star has not posted much of Yeribel on his main sports-related account, but has shared some tender moments on a secondary Instagram account, where he refers to her as his “Queen.”
“What makes you great as a woman is your heart, your humility, your values, your so personal style that shows every day, your education, and above all what many women forget, the faithful representation of a female,” he wrote of Yeribel in an Instagram post.
“Go wherever you want, I’ll stop you mommy,” he wrote in another post, going on to describe her as “a woman whose shyness and beauty go hand in hand with her heart.”
They also seem to share an affinity for the finer things, coordinating in designer logos.
“Life is not about what we want but about those that touch us and I touch my,” he captioned another snap.
Ortiz’s ex-wife, Tiffany, took to Instagram in 2021 with a statement about their split.
“Over the past 25 years, David and I have shared a beautiful adventure in love and partnership,” she wrote.
“We have made the decision to go into a new phase of our life journey together, not as a couple, but as friends and co-parents to our amazing children.”
Tiffany and David had been together since 1996 and got married in 2002.
