Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that we’ve got some comings and goings news to pass along, so let’s talk about three major exits, two big returns and an upcoming role swap.
For starters, AlexAnn Hopkins recently wrapped her run as Joy Wesley.
Days fans watched as Joy decided to quit her new job at Titan and head back to New York.
Of course, there was a good reason for that since Joy is pregnant with Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) baby and doesn’t want him to know.
Joy’s exit obviously leaves the door open for more drama to erupt once the secret inevitably comes out down the road.
The door’s open for Ros Gentle to make a comeback as Rachel Blake too since viewers were left in the dark on what EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) did with her.
EJ feared Rachel would sink him with her testimony, so he made her vanish and played dumb with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
Although Gentle has finished her latest stint, she’s open to returning for another chapter of Rachel’s story.
“I’d love to return,” Gentle said in her exit interview with SOD.
“I want to know what’s happened to me, because it was not clear when I left. I can’t say too much. I’m waiting to see what happens after a while.”
We should also talk about Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien), who abruptly left town to support Kimberly Brady Donovan (Patsy Pease) in California now that her cancer has returned.
Theresa has the potential to resurface in Salem eventually, but a different Days comeback will play out in the meantime.
Emily O’Brien is swapping roles again, so she’ll be appearing as Gwen Rizczech starting this July.
Until then, DOOL viewers can enjoy the return of two Days actors during the week of March 24-28.
Christopher Sean will reprise his role as Paul Narita, who’ll sit down with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to trade some John Black (Drake Hogestyn) memories.
Colton Little will also step back into Andrew Donovan’s shoes, so look for him to make a huge confession to Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols).
Andrew has been deceiving Paul about John’s mission since he knows more secrets than he’s been spilling.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Andrew will ultimately give Marlena a warning about the imminent threat to John, so she’ll be troubled over his updates and dangerous predictions.
