Trina shocked fans by revealing that she not only secretly got married in spring, but also how she keeps the bag secured without a prenup. “I’m in charge,” said DaBaddest.
The rap icon is truly in her lover-girl era and sharing it with the world! Now that Benjamin Leon Kearse Jr. put a ring on it, Trina is opening up about their Miami matrimony. In addition to sharing details about the wedding, Trina revealed that she didn’t get a prenuptial agreement.
The glowing new bride clearly has love on the brain, but please believe she’s still standing on business! Trina dished about her new romance and finance on the latest episode of All Things Keyshia Ka’oir.
The two hometown homegirls go way back, so Keyshia didn’t hesitate to dive right in with what we all wanted to know. “Did you get a prenup?” After several cautionary tales, the agreement is expected before most boss babes walk down the aisle. However, Trina says she doesn’t need one.
“I didn’t because my husband brings all of his money to me,” Trina said, to Keyshia’s shock. “I’m in charge. He can’t spend a dime without my consent. He can’t spend a dime for nothing unless it goes through me. I see everything, so yeah,” Trina declared.
Well alright, then, Trina! It sounds like the new Mrs. Kearse has her accounts on lockdown. It sounds like the “Pull Over” star follows similar advice to what Oprah told Serena Williams about keeping up with every coin.
“Oprah told me long ago, ‘You sign every check. Never let anyone sign any checks,’” Serena recalled, according to Essentially Sports.
Trina Shares Details About Her Walk Down The Aisle & Future Plans
With the paperwork all settled and Trina’s paper in order, what about the wedding? The #LHHMIA star is somewhat private, but the iconic rapper still plans to do it “big like the sun” for her love story.
“I didn’t have a wedding yet. We just did a private marriage. The wedding is next year,” she shared. “It’s a lot. It takes a lot.”
“Take your time. We got privately married at home,” Keyshia said about her groom Gucci Mane. “And that meant more to me than this fabulous wedding. Like I had butterflies, I was nervous. I was scared, but my big TV wedding I felt nothing… it’s there for the people. But the private moment, it’s just for you two.
Trina, who also got married at home in May, cosigned the sentiment. The couple, who has been together for a year, is “still in the lovey-dovey phase.” The “Here We Go” rapper looks like she couldn’t be happier. It was love at first sight when Trina spotted her Kearse from across a club. She was determined to get her man from the moment and they’ve been locked in ever since.
In her memoir, The Baddest, she opened up about the losses she experienced with her mother, and brother, and miscarriages. However, Trina is full of hope these days. In addition to planning her wedding, she’s planning to expand her family! “Now is the time,” she said about hopefully having a baby.
After securing the bag, the man of her dreams, and an epic legacy, fans and Trina’s “ride or die” friend are rooting for the baby blessing.
