The Big Bang Theory (the show, not the actual theory) is rather divisive among the geeky and nerdy folks in the world. The long-running sitcom made some people feel seen in mainstream culture, while others raised an eyebrow at how it portrays nerds. Either way, The Big Bang Theory is a part of pop culture history, ending in 2019 with a whopping 12 seasons under its belt. And it did give fans a prequel spinoff, Young Sheldon, which is already six seasons into its story. Obviously, people dig this universe. Now, there’s yet another spinoff of The Big Bang Theory in the works at the newly minted Max (formerly HBO Max).
According to a press release, The Big Bang Theory executive producer and creator Chuck Lorre is developing this comedy spinoff project. Lorre has an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television to craft content. We don’t know the details about this The Big Bang Theory spinoff just yet, though. So it remains to be seen if it will introduce an entirely new slate of characters or focus on a character we already know. We aren’t exactly sure which wed prefer.
Maybe there will be a few Bazinga moments in the mix. We shall see… More news on this The Big Bang Theory spinoff project is sure to come sooner rather than later.
