Now conversation has turned to who will be the next Bond Girl, with lots of top actresses’ names being thrown into the mix.

A ‘Bond Girl’ has been previously defined as a character who could be either a love interest, female companion or even occasionally, an enemy of 007.

James Bond fans have previously seen the likes of Eva Green, Gemma Arterton, Halle Berry appear alongside the secret agent character on-screen.

Bond boss Barbara Broccoli and her team of producers are on the hunt for a perfect side-kick – or even enemy – for 007.

Second favourite to be named the new Bond Girl is Sydney Sweeney.

In 2018, she appeared as a recurring character in The Handmaid’s Tale.

British hunk formally offered role of James Bond and ‘will sign contract this week’ to take over from Daniel Craig

A year later, Sydney snagged a role in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 dramedy, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

She went on to play Cassie Howard in the widely-recognized HBO series, Euphoria.

The actress is also known for starring in smash hit show, White Lotus.

When will the next Bond girl be announced?

Fans are waiting on the edge of their seat to know who will be the next James Bond.

As soon as this has been revealed, the news on the next Bond Girl will follow.

For the last 007 film No Time To Die, bosses held a press conference where it was announced Ana De Armas would be a Bond Girl.

So fans can probably expect something similar for the new film.

Who will be the next James Bond?

The Sun exclusively revealed that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been “formally offered” the coveted role of the next James Bond.

A contract has reportedly been drawn up and bosses are just waiting for him to “sign on the dotted line”.

A source told us: “Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back.

“As far as Eon is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement.”

Since his rise to fame, Aaron has starred in a number of Hollywood blockbusters.

The actor is best known for the Kick-Ass series and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The talented star kicked off his career in Nowhere Boy, which was directed by his future wife Sam Taylor-Johnson.

Will there be another James Bond movie?

Due to the Hollywood strikes in 2023, the 26th 007 film has been delayed.

There will be another James Bond movie, but the title of the film and the plot are yet to be revealed.

Because of shocking ending of No Time To Die it is unclear where the next movie will fit in the 007 timeline.

The last film made more than £600M at the global box office.

Over the years there have been seven actors who have played 007.

The first ever James Bond film was in 1962, and this is who has played the lead role over the years:

  • Sean Connery – The late star was the first ever actor to play Bond, and reprised the role for seven movies.
  • George Lazenby – The star only played Bond once, but was the youngest actor to ever play the spy.
  • Roger Moore – The late movie star spent 12 years making seven films in the famous franchise.
  • Timothy Dalton – The smooth actor took over from Roger Moore and appeared in The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill.
  • Pierce Brosnan – The handsome star played Bond for four movies from 1995 to 2002.
  • Daniel Craig – The British star was the first blonde James Bond and the sixth actor to win the role in 2005.
