Internet’s favourite daddy and Hollywood actor Pedro Pascal celebrates his 49th birthday today. Born as José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal, the actor has been working for the last two decades. However, he gained popularity with Game of Thrones, where he played Oberyn Martell. Today, Pedro is a part of many big franchises – Star Wars, Marvel, and Gladiator, to name a few.

Before getting the much-deserving recognition with Game of Thrones, Pedro Pascal has been a part of several movies and shows like Burning Bridges, Hermanas, Downtown, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and many more. After GoT, he appeared in many popular shows like Narcos, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and The Last of Us.

Pedro Pascal rose to great success even because of Star Wars’ The Mandalorian series. He plays Din Djarin in the show, where he goes to any lengths to save baby Yoda, aka Grogu. It’s because of this show Pedro became the internet’s favourite daddy. In an interview in 2019, the actor drew parallels between two of his successful stints – Game of Thrones and Star Wars.

Pedro Pascal In Game of Thrones

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pedro Pascal said, “I see enormous parallels between the world of ‘Star Wars’ and the world of ‘Game of Thrones’. ‘Game of Thrones’ might not exist if not for Star Wars, in the way that this world-building genre (took) science fiction to a new level in the way that Game of Thrones takes fantasy to a new level. And the way that it represents such concrete realities that we live in, although the irony being that it’s science fiction and fantasy.”

Well, that’s quite an interesting take. Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal’s The Mandalorian will not entertain the audience with his otherwordly adventures with Grogu on the big screen. The series will now be a full-fledged movie and will be helmed by Jon Favreau. Pedro has also joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with Fantastic Four movie, in which he plays Reed Richards. Directed by Matt Shakman, the film also stars Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn.
