The Eras Tour Concert Film on Disney+

As per Deadline, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour registered about 4.6 million views within 3 days of its release on Disney+. And with that, it has become the #1 music film on the platform. The concert movie has been watched for 16.2 million hours this past weekend.

Previously, Black Is King: A Film by Beyoncé, The Beatles: Get Back, Elton John: Farewell From Dodger Stadium, and Taylor Swift’s Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions have previously premiered on Disney+. But Tay’s latest addition has surpassed all the past records and conquered the throne like no other!

It was previously reported that the OTT platform splurged a whopping $75 million to gain digital rights to The Eras Tour. Netflix and Universal were among others in the bidding war, and Disney+ clearly won the race.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Box Office

The Eras Tour has made total earnings of $261.65 million at the worldwide box office. It surpassed Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and One Direction: This Is Us, among others, to become the number-one concert film of all time.

It is to be noted that Michael Jackson was working on his concert film, This Is It, days ahead of his death. But it was later released as a documentary featuring his prep. Due to this, it is not in the race for the highest-grossing concert films of all time.
