Star Wars: The Phantom Menace recently made its way back into movie theaters. And even though the prequel movie was originally hated, it saw quite some success. Enough success to place it firmly within the top 50 movies ever released, as far as box office history goes. According to SlashFilm, as of May 7, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and all its releases over the years have grossed a global total of $1,042,206,656. That places it in the top 50 movies ever made, at number 45. But as money from the re-release of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in movie theaters continues to pour in, it could well move even higher on the ladder.
