Chelsea Lazkani Wants Joint Custody Of Her Kids With Jeffrey Lazkani

Chelsea has filed for divorce from Jeffrey, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Despite the breakdown of their marriage, the “Selling Sunset” star states she wants her and her partner to have joint physical and legal custody of their two children — Melia Iman Lazkani and Maddox Ali Lazkani.

The mother of two also wants Jeffrey to pay her spousal support and her legal fees. She adds that the complete details of her separate property assets and obligations are currently unknown.

However, the filing claims that once those assets are determined, she will request permission to include the information in the petition or will disclose it in her “Preliminary and/or Final Declaration of Disclosure.”

The drama that will unfold following Chelsea’s March 27 divorce filing at Stanley Mosk Courthouse, Los Angeles, is not completely lost on fans.

The reality star was previously at odds with “Selling Sunset” co-star Bre Tiesi for raising a child with a man — Nick Cannon, to whom she is not married.

Now, it seems that Chelsea will not only have to take back her words but might have to ask Bre for a few tips on raising kids in a broken home.

How Did The Love Between The Couple Start?

Regarding Chelsea and Jeffrey’s relationship, PEOPLE reported that the pair met on the dating app Tinder in 2015.

In fact, as Chelsea has confessed before, Jeffrey was her inaugural date from the app when she initially relocated to Los Angeles.

She revealed that she had not intended to stay in California for an extended period, but she decided to remain because of him. Speaking on their connection, Chelsea expressed during an interview:

“We spoke about 15 times before getting together. I don’t want to waste my time and give my energy to somebody if I don’t think it will be worth it. I felt like I knew him before we even met, and the connection was immediate.”

Two years after they met, the duo exchanged vows on August 12, 2017 and celebrated their wedding reception at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California.

Following their nuptials, the newlyweds embarked on an extensive honeymoon journey, exploring Thailand before making a stop in Singapore and culminating their travels in the Maldives.

Subsequently, Chelsea and Heffrey welcomed their son Maddox in January 2019 and their daughter in November 2020.

Jeffrey Played A Part In Chelsea Becoming An O Girl

Even though Chelsea had already established herself in the real estate market, her spouse’s connection to Jason Oppenheim earned her a spot on “Selling Sunset.”

As she recounted in May 2022, “I knew Jason through my husband and I said to him, “What do I have to do?’ You kind of see how it played out on screen. I wasn’t sure whether I was going to get in or not.”

Chelsea showcased her value to The Oppenheim Group by delivering an offer for one of their listed properties that exceeded the asking price, solidifying her position within the agency.

Apart from potentially dishing out advice to Chelsea in the upcoming “Selling Sunset” season 8, Bre previously hinted at quitting the show.

She said, “I love Jason, I love the girls, I love all of that, but at the end of the day, I’m about my bag.”

The 32-year-old stressed that if she were to pick, she would prefer to encounter critism in a space where her efforts were more generously compensated.

Just before her disclosure, Bre had gotten into a showdown with Chelsea and newcomer Cassandra Dawn Repstad.

Per The Blast, the trio’s ongoing rift culminated in a heated exchange at an Oppenheim Group event that saw her storming out.

Notably, she aired her frustration angrily, saying, “I’m done with this whole f—— s—! I’m sick of this s—! F— the show. F— this f—— office!”

Bre has since gone back on her words, declaring “maybe the money’s a little different” as the reason for her return.

The moment came last May during a Q&A session with her Instagram followers that featured one person asking, “What made you get into real estate? Because the runway has your name, babes.”

In response, the 31-year-old uploaded a reel showcasing her in a car, dressed in a white outfit with a full face glam. Offering her explanation, she said:

“I grew up in real estate; my dad was a property evaluator and architect. So, I was always fascinated by amazing architecture. My dad…what we now call…flips houses.”

She then disclosed that her choice to pursue a real estate license was solidified when she saw the commission during her and her soon-to-be ex-husband’s search for their first house.

Chelsea shared, “That’s fundamentally the real reason I got my real estate license. However, I always knew I’d probably get into real estate one way or another. I would, in the future, like to get into investing. But, yeah.”
