Deadpool & Wolverine’s first teaser heightened everyone’s anticipation when it came out last month. The film has still a few months before its theatrical release, and a social media report has revealed the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-led film’s alleged runtime. However, the fans are not so much satisfied with it. Keep scrolling for more.

The second installment in this franchise came out in 2018, with Cable as an opposing force but not a bonafide evil villain. It was played by Jos Brolin, and in that same year, he also featured in Avengers: Infinity War as the mass-murdering mad Titan, Thanos. The plot of this upcoming Marvel movie has been kept under wraps, but much is sure Wade: Wilson will be involved with time travel.

Ryan Reynolds is a close friend of Hugh Jackman, and thanks to him, he has come out of retirement and will once again appear as Wolverine. That was big news, and hype-up pictures of Hugh in the comic book-style yellow costume were released on social media. It is like a dream come true for the Marvel fans. Now HolyField News on X has revealed the potential runtime of Deadpool & Wolverine.

The account wrote, “Marvel Studio’s ‘DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE’ is rumored to have a 2 hours & 24 minutes runtime. Is that enough for this highly anticipated film? Expect the First Official Trailer to be released late March- Early April.” The film has a standard runtime in comparison to other Marvel movies. The last MCU film, The Marvels, was one of the shortest MCU films with a 1 hour and 45 minutes runtime, and some believe that might have been a cause for its failure.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ran 2 hours and 28 minutes, and its trailer was the most watched. But that was toppled by Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool & Wolverine. Experts also believe it will break Marvel’s dry spell of achieving the billion-dollar mark at the box office after No Way Home.

However, the fans are not so happy about the alleged runtime of Deadpool & Wolverine. As one fan wrote, “I don’t know why, but 2 hours and 24 minutes seems a little bit shorter. It must be around 2 hrs. 40-45 min.”

Another said, “We are getting both wolverine and deadpool after nearly 7 years….along with other mutants in MCU…..and the villain is also crazy powerful 😳…so to cover up all their stories it needs to be around 2 hours 50 minutes.”

“That’s terrible if true but,” added another.

One user quipped, “Very short, yikes.”

Followed by one saying, “WEAK rushed ol movies.”

One suggested, “2hrs 50min. Perfetc!”

And, “It’s going to fly by, will have to watch it twice.”

How long were Deadpool 1 & 2?

Deadpool (2016) – 1 hour 48 minutes

Deadpool 2 (2018) – I hour 59 minutes

Compared to the previous two films, Deadpool & Wolverine is much longer. The prequels did a great job in those runtimes. The upcoming movie will hopefully not disappoint with its alleged time.

It is slated to hit the theatres on July 26, 2024. And for more updates on it, stay tuned to Koimoi!
