Monsterverse film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is working phenomenally well at the box office. In two days, the film has collected 25.50 crore at the Indian box office, and this comes as a surprise after a dozen Hindi films are already available for the audiences.
Currently, the Hindi audiences have to choose from a bouquet of Shaitaan, Crew, Madgaon Express primarily, and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya & Laapataa Ladies in some circuits as well.
However, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has performed better than all these films in two days. The film collected 13 crore on day 1 and added 12.50 crore on day 2, Saturday, registering a total of 25.50 crore in two days.
Performs Better Than Crew
Godzilla x Kong has performed better than Crew on day 2. While it registered 15% higher earnings on day 2 Saturday than Crew’s 10.80 crore, in total, it has registered 21% higher collection than Crew, registering 21.06 crore in two days.
Only A Minimal Drop
Godzilla x Kong registered a minimal drop of around 5% from the opening day, which was a partial Good Friday holiday. While it collected 13 crore on day 1, it earned 12.50 crore on day 2, which is much better than many previous Hollywood releases in India. In two days the film has collected 11.50 crore in English, 6.50 crore in Hindi, almost 2.75 crore in Telugu, and 4.75 crore in Tamil.
Performing Much Better Than Godzilla VS Kong
The previous Godzilla film, Godzilla VS Kong, collected 26.4 crores in the first weekend, which was a five-day weekend. The film was released in 2021, and it opened at 6.40 crore. However, the new offering has already collected 25.50 crore in two days.
Hopefully, the film will cross the 35 crore mark with Sunday’s collection and surpass the 46.58 crore lifetime of the previous Monsterverse film.
