Lil Wayne’s Young Money Sports agency is taking off, as Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter has signed to the agency for his on-field representation in the NFL.

Travis Hunter finished his college career this past weekend at the Alamo Bowl. He is the highest-profile athlete to join Young Money APAA Sports, which has divisions across the NFL, NBA, soccer, and college sports. Hunter is currently projected to be a top-five pick in the upcoming NFL Draft for 2025.

Alongside Hunter, Young Money Sports also represents Duke quarterback Darian Mensah. Mensah recently signed a two-year $8 million name, image, and likeness deal to transfer from Tulane. Also represented are Jehiem Oatis.

Front Office Sports reports that Young Money managed to beat out several other major sports agencies in securing Hunter—including WME, CAA, Klutch Sports Group, and Athletes First. During his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech, Hunter gave a shout out to Lil Wayne. “My fiancée loves you, I didn’t know none of your songs until she let me know because I don’t listen to music,” Hunter said during the ceremony.

“She told me, ‘You’ve got to listen to this. If you don’t listen to any music, listen to Wayne. And from that day on, that’s all I listen to. Pregame music, those are the songs I listen to. When I get to that TRX and I blast that music, I’m listening to Wayne.” Hunter then broke out an impression of the rapper, singing part of the song “6 Foot 7 Foot” from Lil Wayne’s 2011 album Tha Carter IV. “I respect you for coming out here and coming to support me,” Hunter concluded.

Hunter will remain with SMAC Entertainment for his off-field representation. SMAC has helped the college star ink several major NIL deals while at Colorado, including a deal with Adidas that will extend to his professional career.
