British singer-songwriter George Gretton releases an extraordinary second EP Ordinary Life.
Produced by: George Gretton
Over the last several months London-based multi-instrumentalist, singer, and producer George Gretton has delivered two no-nonsense, heartfelt, and soothing tracks, ‘Morning’ and ‘Down To Earth.’ Today he has shared a new collection of songs (with the aforementioned included) that were inspired by mundane everyday-life situations.
“Ordinary Life is a collection of tracks about my relationship with the boring mundane stuff that I do and feel every day. It’s also about returning to ordinary life from the pandemic and really struggling to re-adjust, and also hating the idea of living a regular, uneventful & uninspiring life.”
Many of the sounds created on the album are the result of Gretton searching for inspiration from everyday life. If you listen with a keen ear you can hear sounds from the office, the home, and even public transport.
Gretton sums up the release best:
“This EP isn’t a celebration of everyday life but it’s definitely not a complaint either. It’s just saying, here we are, this is what we have, and this is what we do, and I hope people can relate to that!”
Ordinary Life is available everywhere now via Mammal Sounds Records.
