General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans saw a new face pop up as Maxie Jones in the December 27 episode. Since Kirsten Storms was temporarily unavailable to play Maxie, Nicole Paggi filled in for her in scenes at the Deception office.
Of course, this isn’t a permanent recast situation. In fact, Kirsten Storms is already back in the preview for the December 28 episode, so viewers will be seeing the “real” Maxie very soon.
That said, it’s possible Paggi will appear in other episodes due to the show’s shooting schedule or if Storms needed other days off.
Whatever the case, it’s good that GH is able to come up with temporary recasts when necessary since the show must go on!
It’s no doubt easier to just slide a new actor in briefly and keep the action going than to throw things off with unexpected delays.
As for Nicole Paggi, she shared scenes with Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe), Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine) and Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn Quartermaine.
Maxie did her best to play peacemaker when the hostility escalated, but she ultimately couldn’t stop all the fighting.
Lucy, Tracy and Brook Lynn can be more trouble than Maxie’s own kids sometimes!
You might recognize Paggi from her roles on Pasadena, Hope & Faith, 90210, Rizzoli & Isles, 9-1-1 and The Rookie: Feds. Paggi will also be featured in an upcoming episode of a mini-series called The Sterling Affairs.
When Kirsten Storms resumes the role of Maxie on December 28, there’ll be a grilling session involved.
Maxie will interrogate Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) about her connection to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and whether things might be shifting between them.
Sasha will have a hard time keeping the lid on Cody’s DNA secret, but she’ll do whatever she can to keep the promise she made and make sure Maxie doesn’t find out the truth.
We’ll be sure to give you updates on any future episodes where Nicole Paggi might temporarily take over.
For now, we can look forward to Kristen Storms reclaiming her spot before the week’s over!
