Movies are somewhat limited by the number of perspectives they can show. Unlike a book, which can have multiple point-of-view characters, or even TV shows, which occasionally devote an episode to some guy who’s been heretofore chillin’ in the background, a movie kind of has to pick one and run with it.
But they don’t always get it right. Sometimes, seeing the story through a different character’s eyes would make it vastly more interesting, and it would be kind of cool if remakes took this tack more often.
User porcupineapplepieces appears to agree, asking r/AskReddit, “If, instead of rebooting movies, retelling them from a different point of view became popular, which movie would you like retold?”
Reddit responded with ideas to revamp some duds, improve some classics and spotlight everyone’s favorite side guys.
