CHARLES BARKLEY has made a shock announcement on NBA on TNT.
And it’s that the NBA Hall of Famer has joined Instagram.
Barkley, 61, has previously sworn off social media but confirmed he had joined the photo sharing app when asked by Kenny Smith.
Smith asked if the rumours were true about Barkley joining the app, which Barkley confirmed.
The rest of the TNT panel then took it in turns to offer Barkley some much needed advice about the social media platform.
Smith started by asking: “So you gonna be sliding into people’s DMs?”
But Barkley showed his social media innocence when he said: “I don’t even know what that means.”
He continued by saying: “Wait, you gotta teach me how to slide…”
Smith interrupted Barkley to say: “That is the worst possible thing you could ever do in your position.”
Barkley was then asked if he knew what it meant to slide into the DMs and guessed correctly.
Barkley has snagged the handle charleswbarkley on Instagram and says he has someone managing the account for him.
Despite not having direct control over the application he insists he’s learning the ropes and defended his slow progress by saying: “I’ve only had it for like a week.”
Adam Lefkoe made sure to warn Barkley: “When you like something, other people can see it. So just be careful please.”
Shaquille O’Neal chimed in with a cheeky piece of advice by saying: “You gotta hashtag OnlyFans.”
A bemused Barkley responded: “For only fans of mine?” Much to the amusement of his co-hosts.
