Actor Trevor Donovan sat down and chatted about his film “Wolf Hound,” his acting career, the digital age, as well as signing a multi-movie deal with GAC Media.

GAC Media

In the fall of 2021, he signed a multi-movie deal with GAC Family. “Signing with GAC Family was incredible, it is really nice to know that you have a home for a couple of years and you have some guaranteed movies.”

Motivations

On his daily motivations as an actor, Donovan said with a sweet laugh, “I have to eat.” “What is great about our profession is the variety. We get to play different roles in different movies and get to go to different places.”

“The experiences and the opportunities that I’ve had through this career have been wonderful,” he added.

The digital age

He opened up about being an actor in the digital age. “Actually the streaming age has brought on more projects and a wider variety of opportunities. There are more opportunities to self-create so it has created a lot more freedom.”

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Donovan said, “New Beginnings.” “I feel like I am starting over,” he said.

‘Wolf Hound’

He enjoyed being a part of the film “Wolf Hound.” “It was incredible. It was an unexpected last-minute casting,” he said. “It was a passion project of the director, it took 3.5 years in post-production, and we finally got to see it on the big screen and it was awesome.”

“Working with Michael B. Chait was great. This was his first big feature film,” Donovan admitted. “I got the play the villain this time so that allowed me to stretch my legs a little bit as far as the acting went. It was so personal to the director and it was really cool to see it all come to fruition.”

In return, director Michael B. Chait had great words about working with Trevor Donovan in “Wolf Hound.”

“Trevor Donovan is one of the nicest actors I’ve ever worked with in my life,” Chait said. “Trevor is exactly who you think he is. He is extremely humble and very laid-back. The character he plays in ‘Wolf Hound’ is the polar opposite of him. Trevor loved the challenge of playing this evil Nazi and it really pushed his range and his acting ability. I think Trevor did a great job.”

Advice for hopefuls in the entertainment field

For young and aspiring actors, he said, “Go out there and make your own path. Create your own projects. It is really easy to get complacent and sit back and wait for auditions to come. Yes, you want those opportunities to come in but in the interim, create your own content. Get out there with your friends and create.”

He listed Oscar winner Jeff Bridges and Josh Brolin as his dream acting partners. “I would love to work with Jeff Bridges, he is amazing. I would love to do a western with him,” he said.

If he were to have any superpower, it would be to “move through time.” “Time travel would be wonderful, but I would want to slow down time, see things happen slower, and react quicker,” he said. “I would also like to fly.”

RomaDrama

From June 24 to 26, he was a part of RomaDrama Live! in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he participated in photo and autograph opportunities with the fans, as well as stimulating panel discussions. “It feels wonderful to be back at RomaDrama,” he said. “It was such a great event last year and it was even better this time. I can’t wait to do more of these.”

Success

On his definition of success, Donovan said, “Over the last 10 years, my definition of success has changed. It used to be status, money, exposure, and fame but now success is happiness.”

For his fans, he expressed his appreciation. “I would like to thank all of my fans and supporters. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have a job. They are why I do what I do, I appreciate them for everything,” he said.
