Torrie Wilson in Bathing Suit Shares "2 Things I've Learned" — Celebwell

Torrie Wilson is one of the most successful female wrestlers of all time. She is also a fitness and health maven. In a recent Instagram post, Wilson shared some of her wellness tips, and the proof that they work. In the photo, Wilson posed in a turquoise one piece swimsuit, showing off her figure. She captioned it, “2 Things I’ve learned. 1.) You really can’t find out just how strong you are until you fall & get back up. We all fall but we don’t all get back up. It may take a minute but never everrrr give up when you are down. The part after you get up & brush yo self off is pure MAGiC in the story of you. 2.) I took so many diuretics in this shoot that I had to run & pee every 20 minutes. It was miserable. I was cramping so bad & out of breath doing a simple jump. I haven’t taken a diuretic since. Ya wouldn’t know that by looking at this. Things are rarely as simple as they appear.” Read on to see 5 ways Torrie Wilson stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don’t miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

Wilson revealed her diet and fitness secrets to Women Fitness. She says that she likes to use a stairclimber when she works out. “I’m somewhat obsessed with stairs. Doing them is like meditation for me and more for my head than for my body. I like to do 30-40 minutes almost everyday and add in my own made-up circuit with weights for 25-30 minutes on most days.

Wilson revealed some of her favorite healthy meals to Women Fitness. “I eat the same breakfast almost all the time. 2 eggs on toast with coconut butter spread. Sometimes I get crazy and add turkey bacon. I have found it’s the perfect amount for me to start my day with and gives me good energy.”

Wilson tells Women Fitness that when it comes to her diet, she doesn’t feel the need to obsess too much. “I find it’s really easy to eat healthy while out these days,” she says. “As long as you know the things to watch out for. But I do not count every morsel that goes into my mouth, and feel that once you get to a place you are happy at and workout as hard as I do, counting calories becomes unnecessary. It’s more about portion control and eating healthy 80% of the time.”

Wilson tells Women Fitness that she does a lot of weight training. She encourages others to do the same. “People always say diet is the number 1 factor, and while I think it’s obviously important, my number 1 tip is to LIFT WEIGHTS. We naturally lose muscle as we age, and it’s important to work hard at keeping it. As we age, just being thin can make us look older. Full muscles keep you looking younger and burn more calories all day long.”

Wilson had to have back surgery done on an injury, and this has effected how she works out. Wilson says that she still works hard in the gym, but she also gives herself days off. “Since I’ve had back surgery, I just try to not kill myself,” she tells Muscle and Health. “I refuse to let it slow me down. I know if I’m going to do something like weighted glute raises or deadlifts, it’s going to hurt for a few days, but it also hurts when I don’t do anything, so I choose which hurt I want.
