Brooke‘s followers commented on her recent videos and called her out for the tweets.

She replied to one fan’s comment that read, “People are allowed to be hurt by her words, especially those it was targeted at. It’s not a non-POC’s place to forgive her and defend her ‘growth.’ People can be hurt.”

Brook said that she has preached accountability on her account, but isn’t taking her own advice.

“You have probably seen the tweets that have been floating around. They are not fake. Those are real things that I said,” she admitted.

“I want to acknowledge that I feel the same way about them that you do. I think they are so disturbing. They’re wrong. They’re horrible and they’re disgusting.”

Brooke said that she appreciates the people who are defending her, but said it doesn’t take away the fact that the tweets are “horrible.”

She said she was trying not to cry and sniffled through the whole video.

The TikToker went on to explain that she was adopted by her grandparents when she was 10 and their views influenced her.

‘SHIFT MY WAY OF THINKING’

Brook told her followers that she tweeted some of those remarks when she was 18.

However, she didn’t “shift her way of thinking” until after college.

“There are people in my life, who I might’ve looked up to forever, who I do not agree with,” Brooke said.

“I’m very very sorry to anyone who is hurt by the tweets because, obviously they are very hurtful.”

“Obviously a lot of it is just like ‘why would I even say that?'” she went on.

“I also apologize for not saying something sooner. I was getting these messages from people who were hurt by them and I felt like by bringing more attention to it, I’d be hurting more people.”

“That was not the right mindset. I should’ve said something sooner,” she admitted.

“I am 27 years old now and I have had a lot of time to form my own opinions and they are nothing like they were when I was 17, 18 years old.”

By the end, she had tears in her eyes.
