Soha Ali Khan is wrapping up her busy week with an extra-intense workout in the rain. Khan, 45, shared a video of herself wearing black leggings and a white sports bra, working out at her gym and doing sled workouts outside. “If it’s raining, we’re still training… also TGIF!! #noexcuses #workout #fitnessmotivation #rain #tgif,” she captioned the post. Here’s how the actress and mother stays fit and healthy.
Khan does low-impact workouts once a day. “I make sure to exercise every day for a minimum of 30 minutes and start with yoga,” she told Times of India. “I also make sure I complete 10,000 steps every day. If nothing, I walk around the house and terrace, taking breaks in between activities to ensure I am not sedentary for long hours.
Khan knows how important sleep is for health and beauty. “My idea of a healthy lifestyle is to prioritize regular exercise and physical activity, along with a balanced and nutritious diet,” she told India Today. “I believe in getting enough sleep and managing stress through meditation or other mindfulness practices. Additionally, staying hydrated and maintaining a positive attitude towards life is crucial for overall well-being.”
Khan eats almonds throughout the day. “I make sure to begin my day with almonds,” she told Times of India. “This has been a consistent habit since childhood, and I also make sure my family eats a handful every day too. Almonds are a source of zinc which plays an important role in growth, development, and the maintenance of immune function. I also make sure to eat lots of yogurt and seasonal fruits like mangoes and watermelon, as well as green vegetables.”
Khan enjoys lean meat and vegetables and a light dinner. “For lunch, I like to eat chicken or fish with some dal, vegetables, and brown rice or roti,” she told Times of India. “I end the day on a light note and usually have a salad with lots of vegetables, almonds, and herbs drizzled with a citrus dressing.”
Khan has good advice for people starting on their fitness journey. “Some tips for someone starting their fitness journey would be to start small, stay consistent, find a form of exercise that you enjoy, prioritize rest and recovery, and fuel your body with nutritious foods.”
