Salma Hayek Shows Off Fit Figure Saying "It's OK to Be Blue"

Salma Hayek has got the blues in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the actress shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit and matching sunglasses. “It’s okay to be blue,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Always gorgeous!” commented one of her followers. “Beautiful In any color,” added another. How does the 57-year-old manage to look forever young and fit? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

“‘I don’t have time to exercise, I am working,” Salma told People. Restorative yoga is her exercise of choice. “I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long,” she explained. “So even when you brush your teeth, you’re working the muscles,” she continued. “She taught me to tone my muscles without clenching them. You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension. If you’re aware of your body, you’d be surprised by the effect it can have.”

“I don’t like to diet and I’m not good at it,” Salma confessed on her website. She eats fruit, veggies, and leans meats, fish, and juice. “When I feel stressed, I turn to food for comfort,” she continued. “The only thing I do is that I don’t eat animals every day. I eat all kinds of meat, but I consume it sparsely,” she added to the New York Times . “I would never eat two meats in a day. Sometimes I go several days without eating meat, but then I’ll go back.”

Hayek told Entertainment Tonight that the secret to her forever young body has more to do with her mind. “I really believe it is. People say it’s exercising. I think it’s meditation. You have to find your way. For me, exercising is hard. It’s really, really difficult to have the discipline to do it. But meditation is a walk in the park, because it’s my own form of it. When I don’t  for some time, guess what? Not only the face starts to drop and everything starts to drop, but my herniated disc, the problem in my neck, the problem in my hip, my ankles. I start breaking down.” She added that she practices it “every day” and uses it to “sit in a moment with yourself.”

“My relationship with food is extremely emotional, as I eat when I am sad, I eat when I am happy, I eat when I’m relaxing,” Salma told Hello! Magazine. “That’s why it is important for me to make good choices when it comes to the food.” When stressed, “I turn to food for comfort,” she added to Canada’s More magazine.

Salma loves getting massages. “You have to find a good person that gives a good massage,” she told Inquisitr. “I have a [massage therapist], but she lives in Japan. She only comes to London every once in a while. But when she comes, she’s my secret weapon. Massage oxygenates, activates the circulation, and keeps the muscles healthy and firm. I cannot tell you, even just for the lymphatic [system], what the massage does for the face.”

Salma loves juicing. “After doing a juice cleanse, I’m motivated to eat healthier and not emotionally. Cleansing is like my meditation. It makes me stop, focus and think about what I’m putting into my body. I’m making a commitment to my health and hitting the reset button,” she said.
