Jen Lilley in Workout Gear Practices a "Waltz"

Jen Lilley is a very successful actress. She’s best known for starring in Hallmark Channel movies. Lilley is currently filming a Christmas movie for the network, and shared a video of herself doing so on Instagram. In it, she is seen learning how to waltz. Lilley captioned the post, “Save the date! A Paris Christmas Waltz premieres Nov 19 at 8 PM/7c on @gactv. And yes we got an interim agreement! Because we need to show the major studios that actors can work and thrive without the studio system.” How does she stay so fit? Lilley shared some of her parenting advice in an interview with Parade. “No one’s a perfect mom,” she says. “Don’t go through Instagram and compare yourself to people because we’re obviously generally going to post our best moments. And sometimes I like to post really low moments for people to keep it real.”

Lilley talked about finding a work-life balance to Parade. “It’s hard to balance it all but I feel like the quality time does make up for quantity time. If you just really focus on your kid and you’re present, you’re not on your phone when you’re with them, they don’t remember the times that you weren’t there.”

Lilley talked about making time for herself with Parade. She says that she makes exercise her self-care and a major priority. “I need to exercise because that is part of the job, that you stay fit cause you’re on camera. So I will prioritize hiking with a girlfriend, which is emotional care as well because you’re swapping stories and laughing and then having real talk. But you’re also exercising at the same time. So for me, it’s finding ways for me to look at things that aren’t just self-care.”

Lilley shared her wellness secrets in an interview with Celebrity Sweat. She says that she does a lot of different exercises to keep herself in shape. “For my exercise, I do a lot of free weights, free weights, and walking. I mean I wish I did more but when you’re on a soap there’s no time.” Harvard Health states, “Exercise is key to good health. But we tend to limit ourselves to one or two types of activity. People do what they enjoy, or what feels the most effective, so some aspects of exercise and fitness may be ignored. In reality, we should all be doing aerobics, stretching, strengthening, and balance exercises.”

Lilley tells Celebrity Sweat that she makes sure to stay hydrated. “I do drink a lot of water. I think that’s key to your hair looking good, your skin looking good, and overall wellness.” Harvard Health states, “Drinking enough water each day is crucial for many reasons: to regulate body temperature, keep joints lubricated, prevent infections, deliver nutrients to cells, and keep organs functioning properly. Being well-hydrated also improves sleep quality, cognition, and mood.”
