Skelton tells Women’s Health UK that she doesn’t have a specific fitness routine. She prefers to mix it up, saying, “I don’t have any sort of set routine because my life is so unpredictable. I’m all about mixing it up.”

In addition to being a fitness fanatic, Skelton is an adventurer, who has done some crazy things on the BBC. While these experiences can be terrifying, Skelton tells Women’s Health UK that she doesn’t get too freaked out before doing them. She also says that this is her approach to everything in her life. “I’m just going to put a smile on my face, have a go, and see how far I get. If you overthink it, you’ll talk yourself out of it.”

Skelton says that she doesn’t let her fears hold her back, in fact, she always sets out to conquer them. “I’m a big believer in the idea that if you’re scared of something, attack it anyway,” she says to Women’s Health UK. “You don’t know what life is going to throw at you, but if you take on this really scary and daunting thing, then in my mind, I feel like I’m training myself for whatever life throws at me.”

Skelton has admitted to having a bad relationship with food in the past, however, she now sees it as an important thing to have in her life. “For me, exercise is an excuse to eat,” she tells Women’s Health UK. “Like most women I’ve had a bad relationship with food at some point in my life, but when I started doing these challenges, like kayaking down the Amazon and running marathons and things, my relationship with food completely changed. Now I can eat more, because I need it.”

Skelton opened up to The Sun about her experience taking weight loss pills, and how they negatively affected her. She says that now she is avoiding methods like those to lose weight. “We have to be very, very careful because in this day and age people want a quick fix.”
