MUSTB released their 4th single album after celebrating the success of their 13 country world tour. “Royalty” was released on the 17th April alongside the B-side “Memory”. Royalty is accompanied by a music video too, which perfectly compliments the lively and bright rock beat style song. We got to ask MUSTB all about “Royalty” and more.
Congratulations on your successful World Tour and the release of your 4th single album, ROYALTY. How does it feel to be back with new music after such an exciting experience?
We’re so happy to let you listen to a new song after a long time. It’s a really good song, so please show a lot of love!
“Royalty” has a unique sound and features lyrics written by members Taegeon and Soohyun. Can you tell us more about the creative process behind this song?
We thought about a lot of people while writing the lyrics, but we mostly wrote it while thinking about our fandom, our Muffins. Also with the thought of soaring up higher together and running towards the future together.
The music video for “Royalty” is out now, can you share with us any behind-the-scenes stories or interesting moments from the filming process?
The filming location was simply the best, and it was really great to show MustB members having fun playing around in the video!
Your songs often focus on spreading love and healing wounded hearts. How do you hope your music can positively impact your fans and listeners around the world?
That’s right! This time Royalty varies depending on interpretation, but no matter what anyone says, we move forward! It contains positive energy filled with dreams and hopes!
“Memory” is the B-side of your new single album and showcases a more mature side of MUSTB. How did you decide to include this song on the album, and what message do you hope listeners take away from it?
MUSTB wanted to express a new sound and maturity in our music. We wanted to deliver a more sophisticated and empathetic message, thus the song conveys a message that contains a lot of empathy, and shows maturity through the breakup with a loved one. We thought it would be nice if many people could feel these emotions together.
How do you feel you have evolved and grown as artists since your debut in 2019?
Performance on stage and growth of our music as well! The members are writing lyrics and we are all working hard to develop and show new sides of us all the time.
What sets MUSTB apart from other K-Pop groups, and how do you stay true to your own identity and values while navigating the competitive industry?
We are like brothers and family. We always encourage and comfort each other and accept each other’s opinions, so we have maintained our teamwork well. That’s our biggest strength and our strongest identity.
What is the next big goal or milestone for MUSTB, and how do you plan to achieve it?
From last year and up to the beginning of this year, we have been to many countries and cities to perform on our world tour, and our next goal is to visit more countries and cities that we have visited, and of course return to places we’ve already been to!
What advice would you give to people who aspire to follow in your footsteps and become successful musicians or idols?
We believe it’s important to not give up! If you follow your dream, you’ll definitely be able to get closer to your dream.
