Kapler was picked up by the Miami Marlins three months later, where he currently serves as their assistant general manager.

However, in January, he opted to embark on a side project, sharing content on TikTok.

Kapler’s first post, captioned, “Simple foundation for feeling good in ’24,” was shared on New Year’s Day and saw him share “5 tips for a healthy 2024.”

His tips were to walk regularly, eat less frequently, run fast multiple times a week, eat meats, fruits, and vegetables, and “lift heavy things regularly.”

In subsequent videos, Kapler has given his followers advice on everything from “Irish goodbyes” to how to share your vision with colleagues and superiors, meal tips to him getting dressed for work, among others.

His videos have proven extremely popular, amassing over 62,000 followers this year.

They regularly attract anywhere from 70,000 to 1.3 million views each.

All in all, Kapler’s 16 posts have totaled over 5.2 million views.

But while some fans head to his page for advice, others are there for what the New York Post described as “thirst traps.”

Kapler’s content has resulted in a plethora of responses from followers, with many swarming to compliment the former outfielder.

Most controversial umpire ever

“Thanks Babe… I mean Gabe,” one fan said.

“I’m trying to focus on the message but I can’t,” commented a second.

“Have you considered diversifying into audiobook narration? You’d be amazing!” suggested a third.

While another added, “The Message + The Messenger = * Chefs Kiss*.”

Kapler was selected in the 57th round of the 1995 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers out of Moorpark College.

He wound up making his debut for the Tigers in 1998, going on to spend 12 seasons in the Majors.

Home runs and boomsticks

MLB is back in London for a third time this summer when the Philadelphia Phillies take on the New York Mets.

The London Stadium will transform from a football pitch to a baseball field for the June 8 and 9 spectacle.

Fans attending the games can feast on some extravagant ballpark menu items such as boomstick nachos (pictured) and a two-foot boomstick hotdog.

The New York Yankees won both games in 2019 against their rivals the Boston Red Sox.

And the Chicago Cubs split their series with the St Louis Cardinals when the teams faced off in 2023.

Across stints with the Texas Rangers, Colorado Rockies, Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Tampa Bay Rays, and the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kapler made 1,104 MLB appearances.

He also won the 2004 World Series while with the Red Sox.

After working for the Dodgers as their director of player development, he joined the Philadelphia Phillies as their manager in 2018.

Fired after two seasons in charge, Kapler was quickly picked up by the Giants.

In total, he has gone 456-411 as a manager, also being named the NL Manager of the Year in 2021.
