Hurley makes sure to stay in shape. However, she doesn’t like to do traditional exercise. She opts for more non-traditional forms of movement. Specifically, the actress loves to garden. “The most relaxed I can ever be is if I go out into my yard and do some gardening,” she tells E! News. “When I’m working in the yard, I’m stretching, I’m bending and I find that’s good for both my mind and body.”

Hurley likes to do a lot of outdoor activities. She tells E! News that one of her favorite things to do is go on walks. “I don’t like so much to go to the gym, but I like to go for really long walks,” she continued, “It’s almost always about going outside.”

For Hurley, wellness means doing a lot of different things. She says that she enjoys being healthy, and that this helps her stay consistent. “Your skin is more likely to glow when you’re eating well and doing exercise than if you’re lying on the couch, watching TV and eating chips,” she said to E! News. “If I put myself in a healthy frame of mind, my hair suddenly looks better, my skin looks better.”

Hurley is a spokeswoman for the Estee Lauder breast cancer campaign. She tells E! News that she wants to encourage other women to get themselves checked. “A girlfriend of mine said she saw my Instagram post for the breast cancer campaign, telling women if they couldn’t get to their doctor to self-check,” she says. “She self-checked and found a lump. She was only in her early 40s. She went to the doctor and had cancer. But thanks to our messaging and thanks to her checking her own breasts, she’s fine. She received treatment and she’s in remission. When you realize that something as simple as an Instagram post can make a difference in someone’s life, it’s very moving.”

Hurley has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. One of her biggest secrets is keeping her skin moisturized. Hurley stressed the importance of this to Us Weekly. “As you get older your skin gets drier and you have to use more moisturizer, more eye cream, more body cream, more elbow cream, everything! I think moisture, moisture, moisture is the most important thing.”
