Dania Ramirez is showing off her Pilates skills – and her hot body. In a new social media post the Devious Maids star flaunts her amazing figure in a crop top and leggings during a workout. “It isn’t an outcome that signifies who you are; it’s the practice of showing up every day as consistently as you can that signifies your value,” she wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag “namaste.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
When training for the movie Premium Rush, Dania became an expert cycler. “It was hard to film the movie, period. [Laughs.] To be on bikes, remembering lines while riding all over New York City in the middle of traffic,” she told Muscle & Fitness. “I always felt like I was on the verge of crashing. I fell so many times; I can’t even begin to tell you. It was intense. Bit I was in the best shape I’ve ever been in my life. [Biking] works you out everywhere. It’s a whole-body workout. My abs were, like, out of control and my arms were super-diesel.”
Dania did a lot of core work and cardio while working out with trainer Bobby Fournier of Snap Fitness in Atlanta. “I do full body workouts that push me to be the inner athlete that I am,” says Ramirez, who buckles down frequently for moderate to high intensity workout sessions,” she told Self.
Outside of the gym you can find Dania playing golf. “So what I forgot my golf outfit at least my caddy is a G!!!” she captioned a post. A comprehensive review published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that golf’s health benefits are extensive, including mind, body, and even lifespan. Benefits include improved longevity, decreased risk of developing heart disease or suffering a stroke, good mental health, and improved strength and balance.
Dania makes sure to hydrate – even while on vacation. Here she is drinking out of a coconut. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
In her recent post Dania does a Pilates workout. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body’s inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
