Shelley Conn is a very successful actress. She is best known for her role on Bridgerton. Conn is also known for Heartbeat, Mistresses, and Good Omens. Conn shared a video on Instagram last August of herself doing different yoga poses. She captioned the post, “#yoga” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Shelley Conn stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

Conn talked about her career in an interview with Express. She says that being a mom has helped with her overall approach to work. “You see a bigger picture and you don’t panic about work like you used to,” she says. “I’m much more relaxed about things and I think it helps me so much. My priorities shifted slightly, but it didn’t shift my ambitions. It skewed it in the right direction.”

Conn opened up about her life in an interview on Shondaland.com. She says that she loves to travel.  “I love traveling and have done a lot of it since my early childhood. It’s an enormous privilege, and often now (with climate change) feels unethical. But it’s so wonderful to be away from home sometimes and gather a different perspective on life.”

Conn loves to horseback ride. She talked about her experience with horses in her interview with Shondaland. “Only a few times, and I’d love to do it more. One time, I rode a very old stunt horse over the sunset trail in the Hollywood Hills, and that was pretty special. I’d love to learn to ride well enough to gallop across a beach!”

Conn is a big believer in having persistence. She talked about the importance of this in her interview with Shondaland. She says that this is the advice that she’d give to aspiring actors. “Persistence is everything — don’t give up. And keep learning any skill you can. Life experience and empathy are essential tools as an actor.”

As you can see from her Instagram post, Conn loves to practice yoga to stay in shape. Harvard Health states that yoga has a lot of health benefits. “Yoga develops inner awareness. It focuses your attention on your body’s abilities at the present moment. It helps develop breath and strength of mind and body. It’s not about physical appearance. Yoga studios typically don’t have mirrors. This is so people can focus their awareness inward rather than how a pose — or the people around them — looks. Surveys have found that those who practiced yoga were more aware of their bodies than people who didn’t practice yoga. They were also more satisfied with and less critical of their bodies. For these reasons, yoga has become an integral part in the treatment of eating disorders and programs that promote positive body image and self-esteem.”
