The band will replace Frank Ocean as Sunday’s closing act.
Blink-182 will headline Coachella Festival this weekend, replacing Frank Ocean as the main stage closer on Sunday April 23.
Variety reports that Frank released a statement earlier today, saying “Frank Ocean will not be performing at weekend 2 of Coachella. After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1. Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity. On doctor’s advice, he is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.”
Tom DeLonge confirmed the news that Blink would take over the slot with a post on Instagram, simply saying “See you Sunday night”.
Blink played a surprise set in the Sahara Tent during the first weekend of the event, drawing a huge crowd with a set full of classics. The gig marked the first live show that DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker have played together since 2014.
They treated fans to the first ever live performance of the single ‘Edging’ and closed out the set with ‘Dammit’, leaving the stage as TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’ played over the speakers.

Blink will hit the UK as part of their reunion tour later this year, with dates lined up in Glasgow, London, Birmingham and Manchester.
