Jon Batiste Plots First-Ever North American Headlining Tour

Decorated musician Jon Batiste has announced his Uneasy Tour: Purifying The Airwaves For The People in support of his newly Grammy-nominated album World Music Radio, out via Verve Records/Interscope Records. The freshly dropped dates serve as the artist’s first-ever headlining run, commencing on Feb. 16, 2024, at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Ore.

Following the first night on tour, Batiste will arrive at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre on Feb. 17 before working down the coastline, turning up in San Francisco on Feb. 18, where he’ll put on an early and late show at The Fillmore. After, the musician will jump to Denver’s Paramount Theatre, followed by Midwest appearances, including dates at The Sylvee in Madison, Wis., and Riviera Theatre in Chicago.

Following a one-night stand in Detroit, the masterful musician will perform in Indianapolis, Ind. The tour will take Batiste to the storied Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn., before an evening at Atlanta’s Tabernacle on March 3. A pair of Canadian dates will occur next, prior to the East Coast leg of the tour, including a March 19 stand at The Beacon in New York City.

After a night in the Big Apple, Batiste will strut down the Eastern Seaboard, taking the stage throughout the Southern part of the U.S. The musician will end his Purifying The Airwaves For The People jaunt after a pair of concerts in Texas, ultimately culminating to a close after a  festival slot on April 27 at Kaleidoscope Beach in Miramar Beach, Fla.

Just before Batiste shared his new tour dates, the artist received six nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year for “Butterfly” with Dan Wilson, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best American Roots Performance and Best Improvised Jazz Solo.
