CBS will air a primetime concert featuring Elton John and Brandi Carlile on April 6. The concert will feature live performances, stories about the pair’s friendship, and an intimate look at their new joint album.
The concert will film on March 26 at London’s Palladium Theatre, accompanied by a live band. The duo will perform songs from their new album, Who Believes in Angels?, which will be available on April 4 via Interscope Records. The musicians will also play a selection of their greatest hits, including classics from Elton’s catalog and an unreleased track from Brandi Carlile.
Elton and Brandi will also invite the audience into an intimate sit-down conversation on stage that will pull back the curtain on their 20-year friendship. The conversation will detail the journey behind their latest collaboration, while sharing intimate footage from the process. Throughout the evening, those closest to Elton and Brandi will pay emotional tributes to the artists’ illustrious careers.
‘An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile’ is produced by Fulwell Entertainment with Ben Winston, Gabe Turner, and Sally Wood serving as executive producers. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers will be able to watch the concert live and on-demand. While Paramount+ essential subscribers will have access to the concert on-demand the day after the special airs on CBS. The concert will be broadcast on Sunday, April 6 from 8 – 9 pm ET/PT.
Elton John began his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in 2018 and concluded in 2023. The tour spanned nearly five years due to an interruption from the pandemic, but an estimated 6.1 million people saw him live in concert during this tour. The tour grossed a record breaking $939.1 million from 330 shows, surpassing records set by Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour ($776.2M) and U2’s 360 Tour ($736M).
The legendary singer has been dealing with significant vision loss due to an eye infection he contracted in July 2024 while on vacation in France. The infection has left him completely blind in his right eye with limited vision in his left. He’s unable to read or watch anything, which has impacted his activities. Despite those challenges, he recently presented the 2025 Golden Globes alongside Brandi Carlile.
