Brit-soul icon Kenny Thomas releases a new “Best Of” album on November 3rd. Released on vinyl and CD, the album features all the big hits, fan favourites, and thought-to-be lost masters from his unreleased third album ‘HIM’ which were recently discovered.
Twice Brit-Award nominated Kenny Thomas is one of the UK’s most successful soul singers of his generation, having had two Top 10 albums and 8 Top 40 singles over his illustrious thirty-year career. His debut album Voices, released in 1991, sold over a million copies worldwide, going double platinum in the UK alone and features the top 5 hit ‘Thinking About Your Love’.
Born in Islington, Kenny originally toyed with the idea of becoming a boxer before music became the clear path for his stunning soulful vocal style and effortless, genuine charm.
Kenny recently featured on the re-run BBC TOTP series on BBC4 as he made no less than 9 appearances performing on the show in just under 3 years. During lockdown, his Crooner Session with Gary Barlow went viral, being viewed more than 5 million times. Kenny also found time to qualify as an acupuncturist in 2010 and later release his autobiography ‘Baring My Soul’ in 2022 which garnered amazing reviews and coverage.
2023 looks set to be even busier, with the release of this career-spanning Best Of album and his forthcoming 14 date Brit Soul Ascending tour which is his biggest tour for over 20 years with half a dozen dates already sold out.
