With the record, Ella recognises the difficult situations many women are forced to face in the industry, and shares it with the world. Alongside this responsibility, Ella reveals a new-found confidence to move through the world with valiant expression, inspired by the *“fearless warriors”* who preceded her, from Nina Simone to Billie Holiday. The first single, from the album, To Light The Lantern, is out now.
Ella’s career has taught her so much, and she is becoming the change she wants to see. *“Back then I dreamed of having more equal spaces”* she reflects “*that is something that I am building up bit by bit, in my own band, with my own team.
