Oops, she did it again.
Britney Spears is making a comeback, but not in the way you’d expect. The Grammy Award-winning pop icon’s music is taking the Broadway stage in “Once Upon A One More Time.”
Expect to hear Spears’ songs like never before at the legendary Marquis Theatre.
The musical takes some of her chart-topping hits — including “Womanizer,” “Lucky,” “Circus” and “Toxic” — and spins them into a reimagined fairytale following Cinderella, Snow White and other storybook staples as they find that happily ever after isn’t what they thought.
Britney classics closely tie into the storyline — one of our favorite moments was when “Oops I Did It Again” lands right when the princesses discover that they may share a suitor in common.
Plus, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the show features “Succession” star Adam Godley and “American Idol” Season 1 runner-up Justin Guarini.
Does this sound like a musical you “wanna go” to? At time of publication, we found tickets going for affordable prices. In fact, some mezzanine seats were spotted at just $65 before fees on Vivid Seats.
If you’re hoping to get a bit closer to the drama, prices tend to be higher but still reasonable — some tickets are going for $89 before fees in the orchestra.
It appears the musical is already winning over fans. One avid theatergoer who saw the show in previews said she went in with low expectations, having just seen the infamous “Bad Cinderella.” By her estimation, “Once Upon A One More Time” was far better than she expected.
“The story was fun, and the acting was great. The choreography blew me away,” said the Broadway enthusiast. “It’s unlike most things you’ll see on a Broadway stage right now.”

“Once Upon A One More Time” Broadway schedule
“Once Upon a One More Time” plays Monday through Saturday at 8 p.m., with matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 p.m. at the Marquis Theatre.
Starting June 27, the show will play Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm., Fridays at 8 p.m., Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m.

“Once Upon A One More Time” Broadway cast and creative
“Once Upon A One More Time” debuted to a sold-out crowd at the Tony Award-winning Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C, on Nov. 29, 2021 and closed its run there on Jan. 9, 2022.
Now on Broadway, “OUAOMT” started previews on May 13, and its official opening night takes place Thursday, June 22.
Here are some of the stars making your favorite storybook heroines come to life.
Briga Heelan (Cinderella): The TV star, known for her roles on “Cougar Town,” “Ground Floor” and “Undateable,” is making her Broadway debut.
Justin Guarini (Prince Charming): Guarini is most well-known for competing on Season One of “American Idol,” where he was the runner-up to Kelly Clarkson and later led “From Justin To Kelly” with her. Since then, he has starred in seven Broadway shows, including “Wicked” and “American Idiot.”
Aisha Jackson (Snow White): The actress performed as the first Black Princess Anna in “Frozen” on Broadway. Her other Broadway credits include “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,” “Waitress” (original Broadway cast member) and “Paradise Square.”
Jennifer Simard (Stepmother): Before “Once Upon A One More Time,” Simard secured two Tony nominations for her roles in “Disaster!” and “Company.”
Adam Godley (Narrator): The actor has dabbled in both the stage and screen. He was Tony-nominated for last season’s “The Lehman Trilogy,” and he also recently guest-starred as Darwin in Season Four of “Succession.”

It should also be noted that the musical was fully authorized by Spears herself post-conservatorship. Tony Award-winning producers James L. Nederlander and Hunter Arnold signed a license agreement with the singer in 2022 and hired Drama Desk-dominated directors/choreographers Keone & Mari Madrid to lead the show.
What to know about the Marquis Theatre
The Marquis Theatre is actually located inside the Times Square Marriott Marquis hotel. To find the theater, enter the hotel’s main entrance in the alleyway between 45th and 46th streets and take the escalators up. From there, you won’t be able to miss it.
The Marquis Theatre opened in 1986, just a few months after the hotel itself opened up. It lacks the historic architecture of many Broadway theaters, but the seats inside are spacious and comfortable, the ushers have the intermission bathroom lines down to a science, and there’s ample space to hang around before the show in the theater’s massive lobby.
A note on accessibility: though there’s an escalator up to the orchestra level, ticket holders for the mezzanine will have to climb a few flights of stairs.
