Westside Gunn is bringing his Hitler Wears Hermes mixtape series to an end with the surprise 10th installment, aptly titled Ten.
The Buffalo rapper originally intended to end the saga last year with the B-side of HWH8, but instead he’s rounding it out with a star-studded affair. “It’s only 1 way I can end this shit,” he said upon sharing Ten’s 12-song tracklist.
The conclusion features appearances from ASAP Rocky, Black Star, Run the Jewels, Stove God Cooks, Benny the Butcher, Conway the Machine, Busta Rhymes, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and Doeboy among others. On the production side of things, he’s recruited the likes of RZA, Swizz Beatz, The Alchemist, Pete Rock, and Conductor Williams.
“It’s only right that we end here. All special things get a memorial release,” said Westside Gunn. “The last double album was going to be the final one, but it felt weird leaving off at nine and not Ten. I had to celebrate this series which has meant so much to fans. Everything I do sounds nothing like the last thing I did. That’s the creative in me, and I’m always going to push the culture forward. I’m ending this on a really special note with Ten.”
The project follows the release of his Peace “Fly” God tape, which arrived back in July. He also promised that he’ll drop his next album Michelle Records, which is named after his late aunt, sometime in the near future.
