Megan Thee Stallion stole the show at TwitchCon, but Travis Scott made an appearance at FaZe Clan’s afterparty.

Megan Thee Stallion’s set at TwitchCon featured the rapper grinding against Master Chief–a video game character from the popular Halo series. It’s the second time this year the rapper has twerked with a large green entity after her appearance on She-Hulk earlier this year.

TwitchCon came roaring back in person for the first time since 2019 this year. It clicked off on Friday and ran through Sunday, with plenty of celebrations and weirdness in the 72-hour event. On Friday night, FaZe Clan hosted an invite-only event featuring some of the biggest names in gaming at the PARQ nightclub in San Diego, CA. The show called ‘RGB: A Night on the Moon’ featured Travis Scott in a surprise performance at the space-themed event.

“This weekend’s event embodies the future FaZe is building towards,” says Lee Trink, CEO of FaZe Clan. “We’re not competitors with other creators and gamers. We’re champions of those creators and together we are remaking the entertainment landscape. FaZe is uniting this new breed of talent that remains overlooked by mainstream players but continues to be the most important to Gen Z. We’re leading to create our shared future.”

Travis Scott’s performances have mostly been at low-key events like nightclubs in the US. His first return to taking the big stage himself as a headliner is happening later this month in South America at Primavera Sound festivals in several cities across the continent, including São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and Santiago.

While news of Travis Scott’s performance at the FaZe Clan party was supposed to be a surprise, noted Twitch Streamer xQc accidentally leaked the info during a live stream. The streamer–real name Felix Lengyel–was discussing which afterparties he planned to attend when he mentioned Scott’s appearance as a reason to attend the FaZe Clan celebration. When confronted that the news wasn’t public knowledge, the streamer said, “I heard it through the grapevine, and I just thought it was public.”
