Football fans in Vegas are about to get “Maximal Crazy” at Allegiant Stadium, where the timeless sounds of Tiësto will provide the soundtrack for Super Bowl LVIII.
Much like raves, the NFL gridiron is a human demolition derby that builds character through controlled chaos. The Dutch dance music icon is now bridging the gap between the two after teaming up with the NFL for a rare DJ set.
Last year’s Super Bowl saw DJ Snake take the decks for a performance live from the sidelines before the game. Tiësto, however, will perform a set prior to kickoff and stick around as the in-game DJ as he plays during featured breaks within the game. He’s the first DJ to perform throughout the Super Bowl, a rep for Atlantic Records confirmed to EDM.com.
Portions of Tiësto’s performance will be featured on CBS’s Super Bowl LVIII broadcast and livestreamed on his social media channels.
“Each year, we look to elevate the in-stadium experience for our fans, and with our first Super Bowl in Las Vegas, it seems only fitting to embrace the legacy of iconic DJs in this city by having Tiësto bring his signature style to our biggest event,” Tim Tubito, a Director of Event Presentation and Content at the NFL, said in a statement. “As one of the most influential DJ/producers who helped define the culture of Las Vegas and electronic music around the world, Tiësto is the perfect artist to help us create an unforgettable gameday experience for our fans, players and viewers everywhere.”
Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled for February 11th at Allegiant Stadium. The teams currently vying for a title are the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions. As of today, January 25th, the Niners are favorites with odds of +140, per ESPN BET.
