Refs break a nearly two-year hiatus and reveal their latest single, ‘New Religion.’
Making a splash after a nearly two-year break, Berlin/NYC-based duo Refs (Zach Lipkins and Rich Saunders) return with a hot new single, ‘New Religion.’ The title track from their upcoming debut album, ‘New Religion’ highlights Rich’s hardcore lyrics and blissed-out vocals atop Dessauers punchy, intricately-crafted rhythms. Speaking on the song, they state:
“We wrote the song so quickly that we’re still having trouble wrapping our minds around what it means. This song and album was an exercise in getting the hidden contents of our brain’s id out in recorded form.”
