Bath-based five-piece Night Swimming has released their captivating new single, ‘Evergreen,’ marking their first release since their acclaimed 2022 double-single ‘Freight Train’ / ‘A Wall.’
Produced by Peter Miles (known for his work with FIZZ and Orla Gartland), ‘Evergreen’ showcases the band’s expansive dream-pop sound and sets the stage for their forthcoming projects. Recorded live to tape at Middle Farm Studios in Devon in 2023, ‘Evergreen’ captures industrial rhythms woven into a colorful, atmospheric soundscape. Inspired by the immersive live performances of Beach House and Slowdive, the song evokes a deep emotional response, inviting listeners to explore its sensory elements.
Vocalist and lyricist Meg Jones sheds light on the inspiration behind ‘Evergreen,’ stating:
“‘Evergreen’ centres around the uncertainty of not knowing where you stand in a relationship. Despite this, it is also an expression of deep feeling for someone.”
‘Evergreen’ is available to listen to on all streaming services.
