Michael B Thomas releases a lush and lo-fi debut single, ‘August.’
Michael B Thomas, the solo project of Leeds singer-songwriter Thomas Barr has released his debut single, ‘August.’ The track sees the Leeds singer/songwriter take a step out on his own and away from his main project, EADES.
With influence like Nick Drake, Wilco, and The Velvet Underground, Michael B Thomas takes a little bit from all in his first solo track. ‘August’ is a lush lo-fi introduction to his world.
Speaking of the inspiration, Michael B Thomas said:
“Your teenage and young adult years can be a very scary experience, they can also be fun, passionate, daring, and hugely impactful. I wanted to identify this and the transition into adulthood not only from my own perspective but from the perspective of the people around me.”
