The band’s debut EP ‘Where Did The Light Go?’ is OUT NOW. This fresh collection of four songs establishes Little Fireworks as true contenders to reignite some hope that’s very much needed in these trying times. Through the soft, heartbreaking verses and the huge, anthemic chorus, close your eyes and immerse yourself in this gripping number. Do that for the rest of the EP too. Their music may seem predominantly sombre, the constant, universal theme in their production and lyrical content is absolutely one of hope, providing a much-needed flicker of light when all else is dark, a.k.a: a ‘little firework’.
What was it that inspired you to form a band?
The year was 2008, we were skimming rocks in our local pond when a couple bullies came up and gave us a wedgie…that lit the fire inside of us
Who are your favourite bands/ artists right now?
We love bands like Biffy Clyro and Frightened Rabbit. A new artist we’ve been listening to a lot recently is Nieve Ella.
Who would you love to collaborate with?
Simon Neal or the Dessner bro’s
The single ‘Like Ghosts’ is out now – can you tell us more about this release?
It represents us well as a band – vulnerable verses paired with huge choruses. It’s a song that builds and builds. We stacked the guitar and harmony tracks so recording this one was lots of fun.
What was the inspiration behind your new EP ‘Where Did The Light Go’?
It all felt quite natural really. These were the first songs we developed in the rehearsal room so it felt right that these songs would form our first EP.
Is there a new album in the works?
No new album yet but we are currently in the studio in Leeds completing our next few singles
Any future tour plans?
Some talks in the background. Hopefully we will be able to announce soon
Where can we find you online?
Instagram is where we are most active @lilfireworks but we’d prefer you to come and find us in real life at a gig
