Lana Del Rey Headlines Coachella with Billie Eilish Guest Appearance

Lana Del Rey headlined Coachella for the first time on Friday night, delivering a 20-song set that included guest appearances from Billie Eilish, Jack Antonoff, and Jon Batiste.

Eilish joined Del Rey at the end of her main set. Seated together in a gilded balcony, the two performed duets of Eilish’s “Ocean Eyes” and Del Rey’s “Video Game.”

Following their mini set, the two singers took time to praise one another. Del Rey called Ellish, “The voice of our generation, the voice of your generation.” Eilish responded, “This is the reason for half you bitches’ existence — including mine!”

Other guests included Del Rey’s longtime producer Antonoff, who joined her on piano for “Hope Is a Dangerous Thing for a Woman Like Me to Have – But I Have It.” Plus, Batiste played keys for Del Rey during “Candy Necklace.” (At one point during “Candy Necklace,” she spun around on a pole.”)

Del Rey’s set also featured  “Without You,” “West Coast,” and a cover of Sublime’s “Summertime Sadness” — all of which hadn’t been performed live since at least 2019.

Del Rey made her Coachella debut in 2014, but this performance marks the first time that she’s a bona fide top-of-the-poster headliner — an appropriate booking in a time of otherwise underwhelming festival headliners.

After Coachella, Del Rey is booked for several more festivals, including Hangout Music Festival, Primavera Sound, Reading and Leeds 2024, and more. Get tickets to her upcoming dates here (for international dates, secure your seats here).

In September, Del Rey will drop her country album, Lasso, featuring production from Jack Antonoff. “We’re going country. It’s happening,” she said when the record was announced in February.
