Kid Apollo drops ‘Plansfor2’

London-based trio Kid Apollo create a delightful mix of alternative R&B and meditative lo-fi pop.
London-based trio Kid Apollo has recently released their first music of 2023. The new single, ‘Plansfor2,’ is a prelude to their upcoming project due for release later this year via Sweat Entertainment. On it, the trio create a delightful mix of alternative R&B and meditative lo-fi pop. Produced and written by Kid Apollo and mixed by Joseph Hartwell Jones (FKA Twigs, Olivia Dean, and FLO), ‘Plansfor2’ utilizes old gospel samples combined with pitch-shifted samples of vocalist Jimmy’s own voice.
In a recent interview, Jimmy explains ‘Plansfor2’:
“It’s about your plans falling through with someone time and and time again and that feeling that you get when you sort of realise it’s just gonna keep on happening.”
Kid Apollo’s new single ‘Plansfor2’ is now available on all streaming platforms via Sweat Entertainment. Fans of Kid Apollo can look forward to their upcoming project, which is due for release later this year.
