De La Soul stopped by Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday (March 7th) to perform their 1989 classic “Eye Know” alongside the song’s co-producer, Prince Paul. Watch a replay of the performance below.
Maseo, Posdnuos, and Prince Paul began their appearance by mixing in each element of the beat live on stage, including the whistles, sax, guitar, and the Steely Dan sample. Acknowledging the feel-good vibes of the performance, the audience engaged in some crowd participation toward the end.
