Dave Grohl seemingly claims Taylor Swift doesn't play live

Taylor Swift isn’t going to tolerate it.

The pop star, 34, seemingly responded to Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl shading her at the band’s concert in London on Saturday night.

“I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift,” Grohl, 55, began in a clip that went viral on social media.

“So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f–king errors as well. Just a couple,” he continued. “That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f–king place.”

Grohl suggesting that Swift doesn’t perform live seemingly got back to the “Anti-Hero” singer, who has also been in London on her history-making Eras Tour.

As Swift later took the stage at Wembley Stadium, Swifties believe she clapped back at Grohl’s remarks as she praised her band.

“Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band who’s gonna be playing live for you for 3.5 hours tonight, they deserve this so much,” she said in a video from the concert.

“And so does every one of my fellow performers,” added Swift. “And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it.”

The “Swifties” chimed in on X, formerly known as Twitter, and defended Swift from Grohl’s alleged jab.

“She stays classy!! always crediting her entire crew and performers,” one fan wrote.

“@foofighters you don’t get to insult her, the band or the dancers. They work their butts off to deliver a live show every night,” another person said.

A different tweet read, “This is what leadership is all about – supporting others, not undermining them.”

Another Swiftie wrote, “oh she heard that old man and had to respond in the most classy way.”

Grohl previously praised Swift when he dedicated the Foo Fighters song “Congregation” to her at the BBC Radio Big 1 Weekend in 2015.

“I’m officially obsessed. She might want to get a restraining order because I’m all about Swift,” Grohl said at the time, per Variety.

“To my opening band, Taylor Swift. Taylor and the Swifts,” he added.

Swift kicked off her sold-out Eras Tour in Arizona on March 17, 2023. It’s since become the highest-grossing tour of all-time after surpassing $1 billion in revenue.

Her shows in London have been attended by numerous celebrities, including Prince William and two of his kids, Tom Cruise, Paul McCartney, Jon Bon Jovi, and Ellie Goulding.

Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tightend Travis Kelce, even made a surprise appearance on the stage at Sunday’s concert.
