East London’s rising star Chinwe immerses herself in the intoxicating rhythms of love with her latest single ‘Down.’ The track kicks off with a mesmerizing declaration, ‘You’re like a drug to me,’ setting the stage for a journey through infatuation and the quest for connection.
“I wrote ‘Down’ about being in a new relationship and those initial feelings of infatuation,” Chinwe explains. “Even when you’re in that phase, sometimes at the back of your mind you wonder if that person will still be around when things aren’t perfect and you’re no longer riding that high.”
